Legendary entertainer and Cannabis advocate Snoop Dogg has lent his support to the effort to legalize the adult use of marijuana in Arkansas, reports KARK.
In an Instagram post, rapper Snoop called for Arkansans to vote yes on Ballot Issue 4. If passed, the measure will permit adults to legally use marijuana without a medical waiver. Arkansas voters approved medical marijuana back in 2016.
The Nov. 1 post lists five states with adult-use marijuana on the Nov. 8 ballot. Besides Arkansas, legalization efforts Maryland, Missouri, North Dakota and South Dakota are receiving support from the rap legend. Snoop is a frequent Instagram poster.
Snoop: “Do What You Got 2 Do N Vote”
The rapper, 51, added, “F.y.i. Do what you got 2 do n vote,” followed by an emoticon, reports KAIT 8. By Thursday afternoon, Snoop’s post had been “Liked” close to 68,000 times.
Fans identify Snoop — whose real name is Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr. — with recreational Cannabis use as part of his persona.
His path to stardom included multiple appearances on André “Dr. Dré” Brown’s album “The Chronic” in 1993. That album’s name is hip-hop slang for high-grade weed.
“Weed: It makes me feel the way I need to feel,” Snoop said in 2008, reports Green State. We certainly can’t argue!
