The Michigan Marijuana Regulatory Agency is recalling 10,000 “Covert Cups” Cannabis edibles processed by a facility in Bay City. The recall is over unapproved testing and sampling methods, reports WXYZ.
The edibles facility involved is 3843 Euclid LLC (License Nos. PR-000098 and AU-P-000106).
Cannabis sales locations throughout Michigan got the edibles, according to the MRA. Dispensaries in cities including Adrian, Ypsilanti, River Rouge, Walled Lake, Lansing, Hamtramck, Wayne and more received the products.
Covert Cups got safety compliance testing on March 23 at 3843 Euclid LLC, reports NBC 25 News. That batch got passing compliance test results. The statewide monitoring system had recorded those results on March 29.
On April 2, the MRA performed a compliance check and observed approximately 10,000 Covert Cups in the safe room vault area that were in non-opaque yellow, clear, or silver final consumer packaging. The MRA’s review of the certificate of analysis for Covert Cups, however, only shows photographs of the product in the yellow consumer packaging, not the clear or silver packaging.
The sample, therefore, was not representative of the entire production batch, according to the MRA.
Edible flavors involved include S’mores Cups, Peanut Butter Cups, Banana Cream and Strawberries & Cream. Those products, distributed between April 8 and May 20, 2021, are now under recall.

If you have any recalled Covert Cups, return them to the retailer for proper disposal. Meanwhile, the MRA says an investigation is ongoing.
