Wanna lend an ear and learn something — or maybe just munch on one? Mike Tyson’s cannabis brand just launched ear-shaped marijuana edibles.
This comes 25 years after he was disqualified from the World Boxing Association Heavyweight Championship for biting his opponent’s ears.
Tyson’s marijuana brand, Tyson 2.0, named the new product with a smirking reference to what’s become known as “The Bite Fight.” That’s the bout against Evander Holyfield where the infamous incident took place.
These aren’t your average gummies. Mike Bites are ear-shaped — complete with a missing chunk, reports NBC News.
Announced On Twitter Tuesday
Tyson’s weed brand announced the news via Twitter on Tuesday, reports Complex.
According to Tyson 2.0, the gummies will soon go on sale at dispensaries in Massachusetts, California, and Nevada.
The retired boxer and current weed dealer even put his stamp of approval on the marijuana-infused edibles, writing, “These ears actually taste good!”
Chunk Missing Right Where Mike Bit Evander
Mike Bites ears have a bite mark at the top of the gummy. There’s a chunk missing right where Tyson bit off a piece of Holyfield’s ear cartilage.
Tyson pitched the idea of the gummies to Holyfield back in 2019 on an episode of his Hotboxin’ With Mike Tyson podcast, reports The Mirror.
“People keep asking, ‘How are you gonna forgive something like that?’” Holyfield explained. “I say, everything that ever happened, at some point in time, I did it. Mike bit me, I say I bit somebody too – it just wasn’t on TV,” Evander said. ”I bit a guy in his shoulder, he dropped me, and I didn’t know when you had a concussion, you’ll bite too.”
Tyson 2.0, in business since 2016, makes about a million dollars a month, reports Marca. The boxing commission fined Tyson $3 million for biting Holyfield’s ear off back in 1997. Hell, these days, Mike could bite both ears clean off, and have ‘em paid for inside six months!
