Bri Parker is a ball of energy, that woman you can call on and the budtender who remembers your name. She makes coming into the dispensary to grab your meds that much more fun and leaves you with positive energy. When she isn’t in the dispensary, you can find her out in nature smoking a blunt or trying out new hairstyles on herself and her friends. Keep an eye out for Bri at Zen Leaf in Towson and at Cannabis events all over Maryland.
How would your friends describe your vibe in three words?
Energetic. Loud. Fantastic. I don’t know how or why, but I am literally just a burst of positive energy. I’m just myself, which is a funny goofball that tries to be a beacon (of) positivity.
What’s your ideal smoke session?
Damn, you caught me off guard with that one. My ideal smoke sesh would have to be somewhere in the mountains. I love nature, so anywhere in the forest, canyons, mountain vibe. I would dome a bunch of flower by myself and connect with nature. I really enjoy all Cannabis products, so it could be flower, concentrates or edibles, and I’m gonna enjoy it.
What restaurant has blown your mind lately in Baltimore?
I’m a seafood girly, so I can recommend going to Crafty Crab and getting a seafood boil. Either that or a four-piece wings with fries from Stoko’s, extra hard, please.
How has technology impacted your job?
Technology is the biggest runner in this job, and mobile devices pretty much control the world now. I use my phone to stay up to date on Cannabis knowledge and make sure I stay ahead of the game. I’d love to see more photography being incorporated into product information in dispensaries. People need to visualize products to help them better understand what they are buying.
Where do you get your competitive nature from?
Being the only girl in my family and playing volleyball, basketball and running track my whole life is where I get my competitive edge. It’s in my blood, and I can’t let it go. It’s my way or the highway in the dispensary and in life.
Is Cannabis a common theme in your family?
Absolutely, Cannabis runs through my family after I introduced them to it. I have scoliosis and sciatica, so I use Cannabis to help with my back problems. Scoliosis has affected me since I was 7 years old, and I have an S curve in my back, making it hard to sit without hunching over. Once I found CBD, it worked wonders for me, so I regularly macrodose CBD. My parents have some internal issues with diabetes and high blood pressure. So, for them, they need that pain relief aspect, and they love gummies.
How does doing hair help you express your creativity?
I love hair because you can be a different person every day. You can change who you are just with that small change to your look. I love to be confident, competitive, stand out and be seen in a creative way. Changing my hair gives me a fresh new feeling every day, and I even do my friends’ hair in the store. I’ve been doing hair for three years now and have seen so many unique styles in the Cannabis industry.
