A cross between Orange Daiquiri and Triangle Kush from Jungle Boys, this strain represents some of the best breeding in the country, which pairs great with District — one of the best cultivation teams in the state.
District Cannabis and its skilled cultivators have consistently produced a long list of hits, and we consider the latest, Florida Oranges, a summer smoking staple. This summer’s heat wave has drenched the East Coast in persistent humidity reminiscent of Florida, and we all need some way to stay cool. While sparking up a joint doesn’t exactly cool us down, the refreshing and light profile of the Florida Oranges is just the delicate high we needed to trudge through and indulge in summer festivities in good cheer.
Part of my summer strategy for Cannabis purchases, and honestly, in general, is choosing lower-testing potency in favor of better-tasting profiles with nuanced highs. We all try to get as much bang for our buck as possible, but many folks mistake that “bang” for being the THC percentage. In reality, the quality of experience comes from the balance of phytocannabinoids and terpenes expressed in the plant. District’s Florida Oranges hovers around a 20% THCA but produces an absolutely effervescent and ethereal high that lets me float through the day with pristine bliss. While the top of the profile offers myrcene and caryophyllene, the strong citrus notes of its namesake fruit come through noticeably. A spicy and floral undertone accentuates the citrus to satisfy the connoisseur’s palate.
The headspace of Florida Oranges is nuanced. While the terpene profile presents as a heavier indica, the temper of linalool, bisabolol and limonene really kept my mind active and light while addressing the bodily needs touched by myrcene and caryophyllene. It is truly a high made for trudging through stifling summer weather with a positive attitude and spirit.
