Rehashed: 2024 Maryland Leaf Bowl

The wind couldn’t stop us from having a ball as brands from around MD mingled with patients and adult-use customers.

The sweet smell of victory – and Cannabis – filled the air at Hammerjacks on April 13 as the Maryland Cannabis community gathered for the first annual Maryland Leaf Bowl. What began as a battle with the elements turned into a day that marks a special place in this market’s history.

A little wind couldn’t stop us from having a ball as brands from around the state mingled with patients and adult-use customers, while local DJ Andrea Belzner (better known as Cobrastrk) and her amazing mix of house music brought the vibes this event needed. In collaboration with Nirvana Center Dispensaries, Dink Dink Glass made 100 limited edition Maryland Leaf Bowl x Nirvana Center pendants that were given away to attendees who found and asked our State Director Wyatt Early.

This award ceremony was a celebration of the hard work and dedication of Maryland’s growers and processors. With over 150 entries, we saw a solid amount of competition – and photographer Greg Malcolm captured photos of each and every one.

Like all of our events, we could not have pulled off the 2024 Maryland Leaf Bowl without the support of our sponsors and vendors, so a special thank you goes out to Releaf Shop in Baltimore, Cookies Baltimore and Nirvana Center Dispensaries for all the help. And to all the brands that entered, congratulations on the awards you took home and thank you for supporting this first-time event. It takes courage to enter a product into a competition and the gusto these brands brought to the table is something to be admired.
