World’s Biggest Pot Brownie!

To commemorate the launch of Bubby’s, MariMed baked a confection that is believed to be the world’s largest pot brownie.

We’re celebrating our December “Edibles” Issues of Leaf Magazines and according to the national holidays calendar, National Brownie Day is “Celebrated annually on December 8th as an unofficial holiday which celebrates a delicious dessert that is a cross between a cake and a soft cookie.” To commemorate National Brownie Day, MariMed has created what they are calling the world’s biggest pot brownie. The Cannabis-infused confection weighs in at 850 pounds and contains 20,000 milligrams of THC!

But, apparently, Guinness World Records refuses to accept marijuana-related records. According to a MariMed spokesperson, “We applied for the Guinness World Record of largest edible brownie but were denied due to cannabis content. Official response: “Guinness World Records no longer accepts applications or creates new record titles that are related to the consumption, preparation or use of tobacco, cannabis or nicotine products.”

According to Guinness World Records, the World’s Largest Brownie (not Infused) was created in 2013 and was 243 pounds.  MariMed’s infused brownie is 3x that –850 pounds – and will contain 20,000 mg of THC. To make the 400 square foot brownie, MariMed’s brownie engineers used 450 pounds of sugar, 212 pounds of butter, and more than 1300 eggs.

Below is the press release announcing the launch:

MariMed, Inc. (OTCQX: MRMD) (“MariMed” or the “Company”), a leading multi-state cannabis operator focused on improving lives every day, today unveiled the world’s largest cannabis-infused brownie in celebration of the launch of its new brand Bubby’s Baked and National Brownie Day on December 8.

Inspired by the original cannabis-infused, homemade brownie, every delicious, soft, and chewy Bubby’s bite is made from scratch in small batches, and infused with precision-dosed, full-spectrum cannabis. They’re perfect for sharing high times with friends this holiday season. Bubby’s comes in three classic confectionery recipes – brownie, chocolate chip, and snickerdoodle. The line is available at MariMed’s Panacea dispensary in Middleborough, Massachusetts, and is expected to hit dispensary shelves throughout the rest of the state as well as Delaware and Maryland early next year.

Bubby’s are made with all-natural ingredients, starting with the basics: flour, butter, eggs, and sugar. There are no artificial flavors or preservatives in any flavor. Each Bubby’s single-serving bite contains 5mg of THC in Massachusetts in compliance with state regulations.

“Bubby’s Baked fills a big hole in the edibles market that cannabis consumers are craving – high-quality, delicious baked goods that stay moist and chewy,” said MariMed Chief Product Officer and SVP/Sales Ryan Crandall. “For many of us, homemade brownies were our first taste of cannabis-infused edibles. Bubby’s recreates and elevates that nostalgic experience, infusing full-spectrum, craft-quality cannabis into timeless recipes, for a reliable high reminiscent of simpler times. Strategically, Bubby’s is part of our effort at MariMed to build a house of brands that meets different consumer needs across a diverse range of occasions.”

To commemorate the launch of Bubby’s, MariMed’s craft confectioners in Massachusetts baked a larger-than-life version of a Bubby’s soft-baked brownie that is believed to be the world’s largest THC-infused brownie ever made. The confection measures 3 feet wide by 3 feet long and 15 inches tall, has a volume of 11.25 cubic square feet, weighs a whopping 850 pounds, and contains 20,000mg of THC.

Bubby’s edibles were previously piloted in Massachusetts under the name “Bourne Baking Co.”
