I love me some live rosin, and I love me some Beezle dabs. That’s why I get so excited for this month’s concentrate — Gush Mints Live Rosin by Beezle — a reinvigorated iteration of a classic Maryland flower. Gush Mints has floated around Maryland for years, but the mark of a great processor is their ability to take good flower and bring out its best qualities for a concentrated experience. Gush Mints is a good flower, and Beezle’s team are great processors — and thus the Gush Mints Live Rosin was born.
Companies like Beezle that create “live” products really focus their brands around top-tier quality distinctions by selecting some of the freshest flowers and capturing the most robust essence possible. Beezle squishes its Gush Mints selection and captures a delectable essence that every dab enthusiast will love.
At the top of the terpene profile are two sizable dollops of limonene and caryophyllene, which drive the nose and effects, tempered by a healthy trail of myrcene, linalool and humulene. Those in the know might recognize a classic “indica” effect profile — which I adore — but what stands out most to me is the powerful aroma. Gush Mints flower is often described as citrusy, no doubt owing to its strong limonene concentration, but when pressed by Beezle’s team, the depth of that citrus becomes more pronounced and the nuances of the other terpenes begin to pop. The rosin reads like a fresh lemonade stand on a hot summer day — packed with sweet citrus and joy. The back notes are earthy and spicy, evoking an herb garden that’s been freshly turned and full of peppery, basil and rosemary-like notes.
It’s truly one of the tastiest flavor and aroma profiles I’ve experienced this year, and the credit for that goes to the artisans at Beezle Labs and their fresh-frozen selections. We all know there are rosins, and then there are rosins. Beezle consistently produces some of the most premium rosin in the state, and their Gush Mints is no exception. Wonderful coloration and excellent consistency are hallmarks of their product, but I can’t get over that lemonade aroma that persists from jar pop to inhale to exhale.
