For August, we have another big hit from the hills of Humboldt County. Have Hash is a highly decorated brand that’s been repping the Emerald Triangle for nine years. They’ve made a big splash when it comes to their work with quality cultivators like Aloha Humboldt, Valley Grove and, of course, Mendoja Farms. Though they operate with a small, dedicated team, Have Hash turns out the hits.
Recently, they dropped this Honey Banana as part of their second-tier, 70-120u rosin line. Not to be confused for a silver medal, many of the flavors in their tier two represent a run that produced enough numbers to be slightly less limited, though no less exclusive. For this flavor, Have Hash kept things in the family and teamed up again with their longtime friends Royal Budline, who also had their hand in multiple award-winning releases.
Honey Banana is the offspring of Strawberry Banana and Honey Boo Boo and has spent the last few years securing a spot on the mantle with collectors, breeders and connoisseurs alike. The color and consistency are like a fresh batch of wet banana puddin’ and carries an addictive candy flavor that, at times, reminds you of some new flavor of Laffy Taffy. Sweet and pronounced, it’s honestly difficult to put this one down and not kill it all in one sitting.
Though Honey Banana has been around for a while, there’s just no stopping its popularity with dabbers looking for a nice body buzz. Winner of Best of New England in 2023 and Legends of Hashish in 2022 (just to name a couple of big hits), this strain has knocked old favorites and new hype out the way with a fruity flavor that manages to still stand out from the crowd of other faces in that flavor profile. Leaf has even seen Honey Banana beat out some incredibly stiff competition to become the concentrate of the year in our annual Oregon Leaf Bowl competition.
