LMNO-Z Persy Badder

from 710 Labs

'I couldn’t believe how much the flavor came through. I literally can’t put it down.'

Brad Melshenker, founder of 710 Labs, fell in love with the LMNO-Z as a judge for the Billy Awards in New York.

“We gave the cut to Brad because he loves to smoke it as much as we do,” Sour Family Farms’ Mike Perrini, aka Rosin Dogs, said. “I mean, it’s fucking 710. He has good taste.”

“It was so nostalgic,” Melshenker said. “I had 40 samples to smoke through, and I opened all the jars and was like, ‘This one’s special.’ It’s the closest thing to Sour Diesel that I’ve smelled probably since 2011-2012. We used to grow a lot of Sour and Chem, and I just felt like it was all watered down since then. It smells like it, the taste comes through in the smoke. I ended up calling the guys from Astor Club who threw the Billy’s. I was like, ‘Whose entry is this? I need to get this cut.’ I’d been searching for Sour for like 10 years — actual, real Sour.”

Melshenker is not alone in his obsession. Sour Family Farms has won awards for the LMNO-Z in flower form, including first place in the Sour Cross category at the 2025 Kush and Sour Competition and first place at the 2025 Gene Traders Sour Showcase.

The Le-mawn-OZ, as Perrini says it’s pronounced, was made in a New Terp City breeding project when LMNO (Chem91 x Sour x Zkittles cross) got hit with Kush Mints.

“Sour Family Farms is like a record label, and we’re the artists,” Perrini said. “New Terp City is the geneticist. Seven Leaf is the grower. Rosin Dogs is the rosin guy.”

710 Labs initially got the cut of the flower, and Rosin Dogs had ironically never washed it.

“The rosin’s just insane. I couldn’t believe how much the flavor came through,” Melshenker said. “I literally can’t put it down.”

Persy stands for “personal stash,” a designation awarded only to the batches that meet Melshenker’s highest standards.

“I’m a Zkittlez fanatic, and right now, I’m smoking the LMNO-Z,” he said.

The badder — a more stable version of their 90u fresh press — is devastatingly beautiful. It’s the palest blonde with a soft, creamed frosting texture. The nose on the jar is a true Sour/Chem — actual gas — with Z terpenes for days. Testing at over 10% terpenes and very limonene-dominant, the Zkittlez spice of beta-caryophyllene and sweet, floral linalool adds a grounding warmth to the bright yet funky Diesel aroma.

It’s such a smooth smoke and melts like water to an almost imperceptible residual in the banger. The smell translates to the taste, which lingers in my mouth and coats my throat with a bright lemon gas long after the exhale. The Sour taste is so pronounced that even after I take a sip of water, my taste buds are still coated.

The badder tastes iconic, like summer in New York City. Think hot asphalt, bus fumes and lemon Italian ice — straight up gasoline.

The effect is uplifting with a clarifying head space but a grounding body high. I feel invincible, boundless and very freaking happy.

When asked how they live up to 710 Labs’ ethos of “quality over everything” across multiple states, Melshenker said that’s the biggest challenge in the industry.

“Before a few years ago, I was literally flying people to get the product in every state before it was released so I could QC it myself. And I realized that wasn’t sustainable,” he said. “So we ended up hiring a QC team across each state. We grade them every few months to make sure they’re on point. They grade every batch, and there’s a whole tiering system on every batch of flower and every batch of concentrates. For the most part, it’s pretty on point. I’ve found a few batches over the years that didn’t match my palate, but it’s rare.”

To stay up on 710 Labs’ limited drops in New Jersey, including the LMNO-Z flower, fans can sign up for The List program.

“It’s like a sneaker drop, and you have a few hours to order before it sells out,” Melshenker said. “The one in September is going to be a pheno hunt pack, and we’ll get people to vote on which one they like.”

“We’re in the middle of continuously hunting a bunch of seeds from (Sour Family Farms),” Melshenker said. “The next pheno hunt drop we do, I hope, is going to be all the LMNO-Z stuff and all of the Sour Family Farms seeds we popped. A lot of Sour/Chem crosses we’re bringing back.”

“We just love smoking this, and we want as many people to get to smoke it as possible,” Perrini said. “This is about more than money.”

This is most definitely about terps.
