MAC #1 Bubble Hash

from Garden First

During consumption, a tart citrus flavor dances across the tongue, prickling the taste buds with peppered zest.

When talking about wellness in relation to Cannabis, it would be a huge omission not to include the original form of solventless concentrate with medicinal roots stretching back over a millennium: hashish. Traditional hashish is made from the trichomes of cured flower that have been separated via sieving over mesh or metal screens and then pressed into blocks or bricks.

Garden First’s MAC (Miracle Alien Cookies) #1 is a prime example of traditional hashish and a testament to its enduring presence in the modern-day Cannabis landscape. Grown and processed in-house, MAC #1 is a backcross of the famed cultivar MAC (Alien Cookies x (Colombian x Starfighter) originally bred by Capulator.

Each jar contains a rectangular block of tan/brown hashish with an almost sandy-like marbling denoting the kief that was pressed to create the product. The concentrate crumbles into smaller pieces when broken up by hand and is perfect for topping bowls, rolling into joints and, perhaps most obviously, smoking out of a hash pipe.

The aroma of the hashish seizes the senses from the moment the lid is cracked, flooding the nose with a sour lemon and citrus scent accented by layers of diesel gas and basil. Spiced, earthy undertones roil around the edges of the profile, giving the overall fragrance a remarkable depth and complexity. The expression from the MAC #1 is distinctly unmistakable, shining through the concentrate in a way that reveals the quality of the flower used to make it.

During consumption, a tart citrus flavor dances across the tongue, prickling the taste buds with peppered zest, while the more spiced characteristics draw on the salivary glands. The taste grows increasingly raunchy as the hash burns, evolving into a presentation best described as rotten lemon floating in a pool of earthy relish. It’s funky and savory, and it saturates the palate with a delectable piquancy that makes it hard to put down.

When it comes to the effects, MAC #1 hits like five bricks in a pillow case. The onset is immediate, generating an astonishingly stimulating head high blended with a soothing wave of physiological alleviation. It’s not overly heavy in terms of bodily impact, just enough to induce a feeling of lightness and reduce acute pains, but it’s stupefyingly cerebral, leaving the mind reeling with a euphoric buzz that’s incredibly strong. Talk about a wellness product, this hashish provides a powerful, punchy experience that is likely to stand toe to toe with the highest of tolerances to provide some level of symptom relief.

All in all, MAC #1 is a stellar representation of a dry-sift-produced solventless concentrate. It may be no surprise to learn that Garden First just won first place in the Hash category at the Oregon Growers Cup for this very same run, so the proof is really in the pudding, or in this case, in the hashish. Made for individuals looking for an extra effective medicinal option at an affordable price, Garden First is honoring tradition and putting a focus on consumer wellness with this selection.
