A covert agent or mercenary in feudal Japan, ninjas specialized in espionage, deception and surprise attacks. Not surprisingly, Fireweed Extracts’ Ninja OG terp sugar has many of the same characteristics – minus that whole death and destruction thing.
Like its namesake, Ninja OG takes on a different essence depending on how you imbibe it. After getting a whiff of the strong and spicy aroma of the sugar, we decided to start with our Nectar Collector. The slightly sticky, super crumbly sugar adopted a strong citrus scent with notes of cinnamon when melted. Reminiscent of holiday spice, the smoke was noticeably sweet on the inhale and spicy on the exhale. Just as we relaxed into this fragrant sugar, the high gave us a swift kick to the dome. Spurred on by a new sense of creativity and some serious stoner munchies, we found ourselves in the kitchen whipping up some SPAM fries. Yes, they’re a real thing … and they are delicious.
Once our high subsided several hours later, it was dab rig time. We decided to break out our Puffco Peak, and interestingly enough, this is where the deception began: The sweet flavor from before was now betrayed by a distinct diesel and while there were still light notes of citrus lingering on the exhale, the robust nature of the fuelly hit we took was driving us steadfast towards snore town. Finding ourselves fast asleep before the opening scene of “Anaconda,” the long-lasting high was an all-evening affair.
All in all, this beauty cultivated by Quintessence Farms is a best of both worlds experience – depending on how you choose to consume it. From the late-night churning of creativity to the chillness of reading manga in bed, one HI-YAH from the Ninja OG will get you higher than you’ve been in a while.
