Pink Drink

from Shasta Flower and Hash Co.

"Pink Drink has such a high terp profile, it’s always a winner with us and has been a staple of ours for two years now."

Despite having only 16 months of making rosin for the adult-use market under their belt, the hardworking 25-person team at Shasta Flower & Hash Co. has already proven that they’re on a mission to bring more people into the world of rosin. “It’s a battle,” owner Joe Baker said, “but we’re never gonna give it up.”

Everything coming out of Shasta Flower & Hash Co. is grown, harvested, trimmed and washed at their facility near Redding. After launching Shasta Flower Co. back in July 2023, Joe says the feedback on their flower was so positive that the team kept pushing him to try making rosin from some of the material. In January 2024, they released the rosin and vape side of the brand. Since then, Shasta Flower & Hash Co. has already received first place in Rosin at the 2024 Cannifest, first in Cartridges at California’s Finest competition and runner-up for Best Solventless Cartridge at our 2025 California Leaf Bowl.

One of the brand’s most popular flavors — and a backbone of many of their new rosin flavors — is their selection of Pink Drink. Bred by Dub Platez, the breeder released this strain around 2023, describing the flavor as having “luscious waves of apricot and peach.” It’s Banana Punch x OG Fruit Smoothie crossed with Golden State Banana. “Pink Drink has such a high terp profile, it’s always a winner with us and has been a staple of ours for two years now,” Joe said.

Popping the lid on a jar of Pink Drink reveals a beautiful pearl the color of white cheddar. With a consistency that’s like firm, wet clay, rolling some in your fingers brings out fruity and floral smells that come together in a way that reminds me of tropical fruit or apricots. Going in 550 degrees Fahrenheit or higher on a banger gave variations on the same thing: a tropical punch flavor, cleaved down the middle by a wave of pleasant, sinus-grabbing astringency. Afterward, there were traces of that flavor left behind, but more fruit and less sweet punch. Between 450 and 500 degrees Fahrenheit, the astringent streak calmed down, but the flavor journey was still the same: a sweet shot of high-proof solventless.

After just two years on the market, what started as a flower company has now expanded into a rosin line that’s impressing the California dabbing community. Summertime means soaring temperatures here in the Golden State, so why not sit back and beat the heat with a nice fat dab of Shasta Hash & Flower Co. Pink Drink? Hell, maybe even go with a cold start.
