PoonTang Pie 120µ Water Hash

from Fuji Melt

A Trop-like tang lingers long after your olfactory organs have nurtured their Haribo nostalgia.

In some alignment of the hash stars (and independent of our event team), we arranged to provide a professional probe into Fuji Melt’s PoonTang Pie 120µ water hash before the second annual Leaf Bowl began. The Oregon panel of judges weighed in before we could, awarding the brand a first-place prize in our coveted “Concentrates – Full Melt/Bubble Hash” category, and thus seconding our selection for June’s Concentrate of the Month.

PoonTang Pie is a Trop Cookies x (Grape Pie x Papaya) cross grown by Bonafide Cannabis and ice-water extracted by the folks at Fuji Melt. It features the fruity fumes that you’d imagine logging a lineage like that while relying heavily on its Trop and Papaya predecessors, with an emphasis on the latter.

You’ll find a pack of peach gummies waiting inside this freshly-popped jar – or at least that’s what your senses will tell you until a powerful cheesy-melon aroma of pure papaya joins the palate. A Trop-like tang lingers long after your olfactory organs have nurtured their Haribo nostalgia. It complements the push of papaya that plays through the last exhale and sticks to the tongue like a sip of freshly-squeezed juice.

This melt, like most, is best kept in the freezer and should stay a light blonde, sand-like texture until your next sesh. For the sake of science, we explored the PoonTang Pie #5 scooped straight out of the jar and, subsequently, with a gentle finger pressing through a piece of parchment. Both offered exceptionally smooth experiences and a marvelous melt. But the gently-pressed preparation made way for an even better melt and more accessible flavor.

A post-dab peek into the banger for a final assessment finds only the slightest golden-brown remnants – solidifying a solid melt score and smooth sailing for your lungs.
