One of the first edible manufacturers in Alaska, Pete and Maureen Eberhardt opened Momo’s Bakery in early 2017. Since then, their products have received widespread acclaim. Most recently, the duo earned runner-up awards for April’s Lemon Dreams and Green Apple Boingos in the 2021 Alaska Leaf Bowl. Now producing a 100mg version of their infamous Boingos, we figured it was high time we took another look at these delicious gummies.
The only gummy in the Alaskan market to feature a distinctive Cannabis leaf shape, Boingos are easily recognizable. They are also incredibly consistent in shape, texture and flavor. Somewhat airy, Boingos provide a nice chewy texture that withstands gnashing teeth longer than many other gummies. As the flavors are typically bold, being able to spend a little more time chewing before swallowing is a great addition to an already awesome product.
While many available gummies come as hybrids, Momo’s offers a selection of sativa and indica varieties. Those looking for a creative buzz with some light sedating effects should definitely give the sativa a shot. However, if you’re looking to get a great night of sleep before a tough work week, it doesn’t get much better than indica Boingos. With strong sedating effects, these ones will have you drooling in a peaceful state of REM within an hour. Because they tend to hit a little harder than their sativa counterparts, we’d recommend going slow and starting with a 10mg dose. If you don’t feel the effects within an hour, try eating a piece of full-fat string cheese or drinking a glass of milk before taking a second gummy.
