Gummies

from Supernaturals New York

Each of the five flavors includes 10mg THC per gummy from pectin-based nano distillate.

Supernaturals New York is a farmer-owned, living soil operation out of Accord, in the Hudson Valley, growing Cannabis on 50 acres under full sun without synthetic fertilizers or pesticides — sheep graze the cover crops, praying mantises handle the pests.

While a gummy is sometimes just a gummy, I like it when the edibles feel like they were made by people who actually give a damn about what goes into them. Supernaturals founder Jens Verhaegh clearly does, and it comes through in the final product. The farm started as an herbal tea operation before it blossomed with Cannabis, a satisfying throughline for gummies that actually taste like they came from somewhere.

Each of the five flavors includes 10mg THC from pectin-based nano distillate and is paired with a minor cannabinoid and two adaptogenic herbs chosen for specific effects. Sleep gets 10mg of CBN with valerian root and passionflower. Energy gets 2mg of THCV with yerba mate and guarana. Focus gets 2mg of CBD with turmeric and ginkgo. Chill gets 2mg of CBC with tulsi and ashwagandha. Erotica gets 2mg of CBG with maca and damiana. I appreciate that the pairings here are coherent and considered — the herbs aren’t decorative, they’re doing something, and the effect profiles back that up.

What really gets me into this line is the culinary variety. The flavors read like a farm-to-table restaurant menu, and I mean that as genuine praise — every combination sounds like something I’d order at a good bar or that would appear in a creative dish. I keep thinking about how well the mango habañero Erotica would translate over ice, which is not a thought I’ve ever had about a Cannabis gummy. The heat builds and lingers in a way that suits the occasion. Rosemary lemon Focus is the one on my desk when I’m on deadline: herbaceous, sharp, specific and clearly culinarily inspired. Those flavors could also appear in a delicious cookie or roasted chicken, for example. Peach matcha Energy is bright and clean, the kind of flavor that feels like it belongs in an afternoon spritz. All five are made with real fruit juices and organic ingredients, and you can taste that — a higher bar than it sounds when most gummies on the market are still leaning on artificial flavoring to do the heavy lifting.

The line feels less like a pivot than a return — culinary herbs, adaptogenic pairings, real fruit juices, all from the same land where Verhaegh was growing herbal tea before Cannabis was legal. Each jar contains 10 gummies and 100mg of THC total, priced between $8.75 and $11. Find them legally at dispensaries across New York.
