This month we are lucky enough to sample from some of RYTHM Cannabis’ finest flower line. With a deep roster of premium genetics, Rhythm has built an incredible reputation for quality, and to highlight this, we have selected their luxuriously decadent Animal Face flower.
One of the heavy hitters bred from Seed Junky Genetics, Animal Face is a cross between the infamous Face Off OG and Animal Mints. The cross yielded sublime, decadent relaxation that the cultivation team at RYTHM coaxed into reality for us, the Maryland consumers. Clearly the cultivation team has a long history of growing fire, but their Animal Face stands out as a showstopper and couch-locker.
Popping a jar of Animal Face instantly floods your nostrils with an earthy, sweet aroma that hints at nutty evergreen forests. As the terpenes wash over your olfactory receptors, the brain immediately shifts gears into the tranquil pools of heady relaxation, promising to be a potently delicious experience. Indeed the toke of the smoke is exactly that: a flavorful experience that instantly sends your brain the signals it needs to calm down, slow down and be happy.
Caryophyllene-dominant terpene profiles are notorious for aggressively serene headspaces and calms that are unparalleled by other dominant terpenes, and the Animal Face is an amazing example of this phenomenon.
The Animal Face profile is described as caryophyllene and myrcene dominant, with a hefty limonene and linalool temper — aka your classic, top-shelf indica experience. It’s not so heavy that you get lost in the fog but certainly heavy enough to slow you down. I recommend toking in the late afternoon and early evening as it will bring about a luxurious state of relaxation that isn’t typically suitable for productivity. The trichome-rich surface is well-preserved, yielding an extremely stinky flower experience for the consumer in the best kind of way.
