Chem de la Chem

from Grassroots

Undeniably fuelly and spicy, the aroma harkens back to its Chemdog parentage.

Earning a spot as a crowd favorite in Maryland due to its high potency and not-so-top-shelf price tag, Chem de la Chem by Grassroots Cannabis is a gassy cross of Chemdog and I95 that’s been holding its own on dispensary shelves for a couple of years. And in a market where shelf space is often dominated by the latest crosses, a strain with such staying power is saying something.

The batch we got came in with 27% THCa and only a couple terpenes, but super useful ones: consisting primarily of caryophyllene, limonene and myrcene for a classic stoney, heavy high.

Undeniably fuelly and spicy, the aroma of Chem de la Chem harkens back to its Chemdog parentage – a notoriously potent and gassy variety. It expresses a heavy gas slightly underscored by a nuanced dollop of herbaceous notes, and with 27% THCa, this flower is heavy-handed and an excellent candidate for pain and sleep needs. However, I would be careful about daytime use as this profile creates a cloudy, stoney high that, while excellent for healing, is not the best for productivity.

That being said, sometimes a nice medicated trip to the couch is exactly what the body calls for – and Chem de la Chem is one of the options that will steer you towards such serenity.

Grassroots has been producing flower in our state since the beginning of our medical Cannabis program, including some of Maryland’s top-selling flower products. Their Chem de la Chem remains consistent with the quality that we as a community have come to expect from this company over the years, and is a fabulous option for high-quality pain management at an affordable price.
