Created by JBeezy and Seed Junky Genetics, LA Kush Cake is a feminized cross of Kush Mints #11 and Wedding Cake. The cut held by Mike and Emily, former mechanical engineers turned caregivers, is a decidedly potent yet balanced stone that has won its place in the hearts and stash jars of many longtime medical patients. I’ve personally watched caregivers and their employees go out of their way to pick up fresh drops of LA Kush Cake and get bummed when they sometimes strike out. Cracking the seal of the jar allows the aromas of pine sap, marjoram, pepper and a fleeting whisper of lime to waft up and fill the air. The buds are a pale frosted green in general with some purple hues and pale orange hairs. The buds are nicely manicured, dense and heavy with pointed calyxes. I cannot overstate the density here; these buds are thick. Grab a decent grinder, and the work is brief, as the buds come to a fluffy clump with properties like kinetic sand.
Maine Craft’s LA Kush Cake is a nearly perfect crowd-pleaser that only takes a couple of rips to change the vibe. It’s assertive without being overbearing.
