Urban Canna is a Eugene company known for a long run of consistent hitters, and with this latest batch, it’s clear they have no intention of pumping the brakes. This month’s selection, aptly named Motor OG, is a loud love letter to gas.
Motor OG is a fiery cross of Motorbreath and LIT OG bred by LIT Farms. Motorbreath’s Chemdog and SFV OG lineage lingers in this profile, but it is LIT OG’s Runtz background that gives this gas extra oomph. The flower has a nostalgic nose, with distinguishable Chemdog and OG flavors seeping through. But there’s a refreshingly sweet undertone – something like a Firecracker Popsicle – that seeps into the shadows of your olfactory organs. Its presence is strong enough to distinguish, yet it doesn’t pull from the profile’s potent petrol plume. Like many things in life, the sweetness is swept up by a slurry of stronger forces. This is a cultivar that cannot be consumed quietly. Even outside with a heavy breeze, you won’t smell any other trees. It’s an impressively heavy aroma that hangs around like someone spilled fuel on your candy stash.
Like petrol through a metallic straw served in a candy cup, this Canna-cocktail packs a wallop worthy of refined palates pursuing the more complex pleasures in life. The flavor follows the nose to perfection, with an added lactic kick. Each exhale offers a delicate drop into a flowy state of focus, fierce tunnel vision and a smooth ascent to a sky-high destination. Like Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Motor OG carries you smoothly through each state.
