Patapeake Shortbread

from Evermore

This full-bodied smoke hits smoothly and produces a heavy high that leaves you in a hyper-relaxed headspace.

Evermore Cannabis has done it again with their iteration of the deceptively-heavy Patapeake Shortbread. A cross between Wedding Cake x Kush Mints (better known as LA Kush Cake), the Patapeake Shortbread is one of the smoothest heavy-hitters to hit the Maryland marketplace in a while. Fans of the heavier side of the Cannabis spectrum will adore this variety, and even those that seek the energetic side of the spectrum can find something to enjoy with this fine toke.

Limonene at the top of the profile creates a whirlwind of sunshine to synergize your day, though the profile gets progressively heavier. Myrcene, linalool and caryophyllene temper the limonene dominance and tame that sunshine into a choice dollop of sloth. The terpenes take you to a hyper-relaxed headspace that stops short of being couchlocking. Like the sloth, one moves slowly and deliberately toward one’s goal for the day, with the feeling you have right after a really excellent massage. That headspace of being totally relaxed, but still having to get up and move about your day, is the quintessential high of the Patapeake Shortbread.

The cake lines are very prominent in the aroma – earthy with gassy notes on the backend. There is a distinct hint of cedarwood layered on top of a vanilla aroma that makes the profile sweet, woody and dare I say, smooth? It smells as if someone recently mowed a lawn between a saw mill and a bakery, and the subsequent aroma commingled in a way to create a pleasant funk for all to enjoy. The smoothness translates into a full-bodied smoke that lingers on the palate and relaxes the mind and body in a delicate balance of terpenes and cannabinoids. It is a pastry for the planet and a true delight to smoke.
