It’s quiz time. What do you get when you pair two of Alaska’s iconic staples – a slice of Moose’s Tooth pizza and MTF?
A truly epic Alaskan experience.
MTF has been used by outsiders as a generic term for the potent strains grown in Alaska since the ‘70s. However, this offering from ALASKAbuds is anything but generic.
With golden-hued and fat-bodied nugs that taper to a point and beg to be broken off and smoked, we found they busted apart easily into chunks that fit perfectly in the bowl. Crumbling the flower released a deep, earthy, sage-like fragrance that filled our nostrils with a dank aroma. The scent carried through the intake, revealing a shadowy herbal bouquet coupled with a hint of cinnamon. The exhale opened the flavors even further and we could really taste the rich herbal overtones, backed by a more distinct cinnamon taste.
The initial hits of this 20.89% sativa produced a mild euphoria that continued to develop as the minutes passed. The final effect was a very pleasant and energizing body high accompanied by a low-key energy boost. We weren’t bouncing off the walls, but we weren’t stuck on the couch either. MTF gave us a feeling that we could choose to get chores done or concentrate on a good book.
The high lasted well past the first hour and deep into our second and third slices of Moose’s Tooth ‘White’ pizza. The pizza’s Mediterranean toppings (sun-dried tomatoes/artichoke hearts/feta cheese) and delicious white sauce balanced the earthy flavors of the flower perfectly. The combined aromas floating around the room were to die for.
