High-dration Time: Summer Recipes

Beat the summer heat with three delicious, THC -nfused drinks that will refresh and elevate your state of mind.

When August rolls around and staying hydrated is of key importance, drinks become my favorite way to infuse. If it’s a day off work, I can have a little something with, or instead of, any meal. The mango coconut libation is filling, healthy, and as easy as it gets. It’s kind of perfect for any time of day. The watermelon slushie is essentially watermelon and Cannabis, and though I like to add a whole lime (peel and all), it’s not required. It’s thirst-quenching and very tasty. The Cannabis-infused mojitos have fruit-filled ice cubes, which is a delightful touch. It’s tart and sweet, and if you make the ice cubes with limeade, the drink does not get watered down. Game changer? You can do that for iced coffee, too. I usually have coffee cubes and lemonade/limeade cubes in the freezer all summer long.

These recipes are infused with coconut oil – each serving is 5mg THC. You can use whatever infusion method you prefer, just keep it to 5mg per serving, unless you know your comfortable, and safe, dose.

Mango Coconut Sunshine
Serves 4

Bruce Wolf

Ingredients:
2 large, ripe mangoes, peeled and cut in chunks
1 cup pineapple chunks
1 small banana, frozen, peeled and sliced
3 cups coconut milk, or milk of your choice
3 tablespoons lime juice
3 tablespoons honey or agave
4 teaspoons canna-oil, 5mg THC per teaspoon

Combine all the ingredients in the blender. Blend until smooth. 


Watermelon Mood
Serves 4

Ingredients:
4 cups watermelon chunks
4 teaspoons canna-oil, 5mg THC per teaspoon
1 lime, cut in pieces
¼ cup simple syrup, or superfine sugar to your taste
chopped fresh cilantro

Combine all the ingredients in the blender. Blend until just smooth. If desired, garnish with fresh cilantro.


Mom’s Mojitos
Serves 4

Ingredients:
3 limes, thinly sliced
bunch of fresh mint
12oz can frozen limeade
3 cups cold water
4 teaspoons canna-oil, 5mg THC per teaspoon
ice cubes

In a large pitcher, combine the sliced limes and mint. With a wooden spoon, muddle them a bit. In a blender, combine the can of limeade, water and canna-oil. Pour the mixture into the pitcher, along with ice cubes. Stir well.
