Holistic Healing Through Cannabis With Dr. Alexander Dix

As a budtender, clinical director and consultant, Dr. Dix helps Cannabis patients with a holistic approach to medicine.

Dr. Alexander Dix has been with KIP since the start, where he’s been proving his worth and climbing the ladder for years. He wears many hats as a Clinical Director, Minister, Usui Reiki Master and the occasional budtender. He follows a holistic approach to medicine, which has found him helping people in various ways in the medical Cannabis industry and even starting his own consulting business called Higher Vibrations Consulting – check it out at hiviconsulting.com!

If the Cannabis industry didn’t exist, what would you be doing?
I would definitely be in medicine, possibly psychedelics, looking closely at the upcoming legal mushroom industry. In reality, I knew I wanted to be in the Cannabis industry for around 17 years before joining it. I can’t see myself working in a field where I wasn’t helping people.

What is your favorite place to go for technical Cannabis knowledge?
Pubmed, and a book called The Cannabis Health Index: Combining the Science of Medical Marijuana with Mindfulness Techniques to Heal 100 Chronic Symptoms and Diseases.

What makes you a perfect fit for the industry and KIP?
So I work one day a week in the store at KIP, and spend the other four days of the week doing virtual consultations. I am able to guide patients in the right direction and allow them to make their own choices when shopping for their medicine and working on their regimens.

Favorite stoner snack?
Fruity Pebbles or some fruity ice cream.

Would you rather only smoke out of glass or only smoke out of papers for the rest of your life?
Both have their high points, but I’d have to stick with papers – it’s more of a communal thing and I really enjoy the practice of rolling up. I can get the same flavor I get from glass by pulling on a joint before lighting it, which helps me make my decision.
