On Dec. 5, Puffco kicked off its official 2024 Puffco Pivot Tour in Portland before heading to Tacoma and Santa Rosa. The event celebrated the October launch of the Pivot, a small, handheld vaporization device that combines the 3D chamber from Puffco’s larger Peak Pro smart rig with the portability of their Plus Pen. This innovative device also offers the unique ability to transform any 10mm or 14mm glass rig into an e-rig, highlighting its versatility and appeal.
The Portland stop of the tour was hosted at Flight Lounge (@flightloungepdx), a beloved local consumption lounge and brunch spot known for its relaxed atmosphere and stoner-fueled food options. The venue provided ample space for attendees to socialize, sesh and celebrate their shared love of hashish. Culture and camaraderie were in full swing, with familiar faces from the Oregon Cannabis community sharing laughs, dabs and heartfelt hugs throughout the evening. Leia Flynn, one of the owners of Flight Lounge and a local industry legend, could be seen moving from table to table, offering water bottles, chatting with guests and ensuring everyone felt welcome.
Each stop on the tour featured a Puffco Pop-Up Shop, live product demonstrations, and the much-anticipated “Jar Check” hosted by Puffco Founder and CEO Roger Volodarsky (@jollyroger). The pop-up shop showcased an assortment of official wares, including the event-exclusive hotknife with a dark purple-to-lavender finish and, of course, the star of the show, the Puffco Pivot. Live demonstrations – with help from local brand Archive (@archiveoregon2.0) – highlighted the Pivot’s capabilities both as a standalone handheld device and as an attachment to functional glassware.
The highlight of the evening for many was the Jar Check, where farms, processors, homegrowers and individuals could bring their hash or flower for Roger to review. From full melt and fresh press to cold cure and flower, products were meticulously examined with detailed, expert feedback. Roger’s reputation as an authority on hash and hash consumption, built on years of educational content, made this an incredibly special opportunity for attendees. Predictably, the line for the Jar Check began forming over an hour before the event, stretching down the block.
As the night drew to a close, Roger announced his two favorite jars from the Portland stop: Chihuapei, a Sour Diesel and Very Berry Kush cross from Bubble Mama (@bubble.mama2), and OG Pie Breath, a Cherry Pie and OG Kush x OG Kush Breath cross from Turtle Trees (@turtle_trees). The caliber of hash on display was exceptional, with products rivaling those seen at top competitions.
Thanks to Puffco, Flight Lounge and the passionate Cannabis community, the Portland stop of the Puffco Pivot Tour was an unforgettable celebration of innovation and a shared love for hashish.
