FatKidFoodCo. knows what it’s doing when it comes to tasty treats, and if you’re a frequent reader of Leaf Magazines, then you’ll likely recognize these fine folks from past features and Leaf Bowl events. There’s a reason this food truck has found a family in the Cannabis community: They dish out so much more than meals.
This popular Oregon pop-up food truck (often found in the southern part of the state) has a history of giving back whenever it can. Owner Chaz McKenna has organized charitable operations from Oregon to Hawaii, providing thousands of meals (and dollars) to communities in times of need. But when McKenna isn’t serving up heaping portions of hope, FatKidFoodCo. is where you run when you want to smash the munchies. With an exciting flip of the patty, these snack legends are not just curing your cottonmouth cravings, they’re instigating them.
They created their own line of infused goods (branded as Vibe Fusion) and teamed up with Rebel Roots Farms in Rogue River to stock dispensary shelves with vegan and gluten-free gummies. We snagged the strawberry and blueberry lemonade flavors to find out more. Each pack features the unmistakable FatKidFoodCo. truck and red logo, so you’ll have no trouble finding these at your favorite Oregon shops. The full bag contains around 100mg of THC, sourced from Rebel Roots Farms distillate and split between 10 gummies, for a dosing of 10mg each.
These cute little cubes are only about one centimeter across, so they’re incredibly easy to pop individually or as a handful. The texture is a perfect balance of soft, smooth and chewy. Strawberry was the first flavor we sacrificed for science. Its sweet, sugary coating tingled the taste buds in preparation for a strong, unmistakable strawberry finish. Blueberry lemonade offered all the sweet, tangy clash of citrus and bright blueberry that you’d expect. Both flavors flaunted themselves without a whisper of distillate flavor.
As we got to the bottom of our bag, we found a fun surprise: a “golden ticket” to FatKidFoodCo. meant that our munchies were covered before they even kicked in.
