Marketing jingles work because they’re catchy, so instead of following the Glad company tagline: “Don’t get mad. Get Glad.”, we encourage you to “Get Mad Mark,” and then get supremely baked to the point of referencing obscure TV ads from the 90s.
Glad began marketing the aforementioned campaign in 1987, which was revived recently with the help of Oscar the Grouch from “Sesame Street.” Ironically, Oscar looks like a giant nug, but you won’t find any hand-trimmed Mad Mark weed in a bag of any kind. Mark tells folks that he’s not a weed farmer; he’s a trichome farmer, which explains why his flower is so incredibly frosty. Success in growing is passion, hard work and attention to detail, and for Mark this means keeping all buds in glass, which protects trichomes and looks so great with the Mr. Yuck face winking from the shelf.
The Eucalypto shines through the glass, shimmering with frosty trichomes that contrast beautifully with the deep purple and lime-green bud coloration. Opening a jar releases a rush of creamy, gassy grape that starts syrupy sweet before citrus and truffle meet a menthol-mint finish that’s complex and mouthwatering.
A cross of White Truffle and Bitties bred by Solfire Gardens, the buds are dense and thick, with a perfect sticky snap that’s proof of a proper cure. The first hits are grapey, fizzy and gassy, with a minty-eucalyptus exhale that brightens the palate with a fresh tingle before slamming into the senses. Several bowls will lead to euphoric, heavy eyes and a rumbly-tummy-while-couch-locked vibe that’s impossible to be mad at.
