Trio of Lobsters

from Lifted Cannabis

This Maine Trees collaboration features three superb Blue Lobster crosses.

A trio of new Blue Lobster crosses has emerged from the deep roots of Maine Trees to settle into the Pacific Northwest on the Lifted Cannabis menu, where these curiously named crustacean cuts are the most exclusive heat in the market.

Disney’s “The Little Mermaid” was full of classic fairytale advice, with Sebastian the crab reminding us that the seaweed is always greener under the sea. But we didn’t see any Blue Lobsters hanging around, or that movie would have had a lot more baked clams. Does an underwater bong use air instead of water? This is what happens when the best weed from the beast coast meets an award-winning PNW garden, and the results are superbly stoney.

The Blue Lobster was bred by Compound Genetics, combining Apples & Bananas x Eye Candy, which became a signature Maine Trees strain and has swept awards shows since winning East Coast Zalympix in 2023. This trio of Strawberry Lobster, Grape Lobster and Off Gas are the newest children of the Blue Lobster genetic family, all featuring unique flavors and characteristics that are just as special as their parent strain. Lifted’s team loves rare and unique cuts, so they collaborated with Maine Trees to access the genetics and grew this new trio of Lobsters the Lifted way, with stunning packaging and the ultimate care from start to finish.

We start our trio of deliciousness with the Grape Lobster, our fingers gripping the embossed, sexy jar as we twist it open, releasing a wave of grapey, gassy lobster that’s louder than the OceanGate Titan implosion. Bright trichomes glisten from the flower inside the blackout jar, highlighting an immaculate trim and bud presentation. Thick, snappy and sappy, the flower burns slow and immaculately smooth, sending warm grapes, apples and a creamy, hazy flourish that’s sweet and sultry before smacking the mind with heavy, heady effects.

Wondering if lobsters can dance or hear, we turn up the house music and prepare for the Strawberry Lobster, which glistens and beckons like a siren from the jar. This cut is all creamy strawberry fields, with bright berries and green, earthy apples rolling into a hazy-banana, bready-Z cream that captivated our stoner senses. Each nug is perfect, frosty and almost too pretty to break up, but the seaweed beckons as we rip into a bowl, relishing the sharp bready gas and sweet apples and strawberry exhale as our frontal lobes turn into lobster pudding. A massive tsunami of body high follows a few bowls, and we suddenly understand why “we got no troubles, life is the bubbles, under the sea.”

We finish floating and grab the Off Gas, a cross of Original Diesel x Blue Lobster that smells like the very best old-school weed, with a gentle, appley, fuel-like, citrus haze that builds as the jar sits open, slowly filling the air with additional notes of sharp Candy Markers and a distinct Blue Diesel. A truly complex and layered gas, it overwhelms the senses and might be the most beautiful of the three. The first hits are smooth, sweet and all gas, rushing over senses and slowing time and thought as the gas permeates the mind and body. Hitting the bottom of the couch like an anchor, this Off Gas sent us sailing for the salty seas of Uber Eats, surely too baked to steer a ship safely.
