Spring terps are in the air, so it’s time to come out of our caves and freshen our minds and mouths with a sharp bite of Venom Breath.
Bad breath and cottonmouth go together like coffee and weed, which can leave even the best brushed of us with a hot case of stanky breath. While we like our weed as funky as possible, the same cannot be said for our teeth – which is why we paired the Venom Breath with a few of our favorite gum brands. A cross between the Pure Michigan (Oreoz x Mendo Breath) and the Grimace Blood 09 (GDP x Miami Mango), the Venom Breath has a unique parentage that stands out from the crowded breeding scene. Grown indoors and hand trimmed, this strain continues a legacy of unique genetics for flower and hash lovers that Dank Czar has set a high bar for in Washington’s weed scene.
The thick and chunky buds have a light-green body that glistens with shiny trichomes, coating every bit of surface area and fingers in a sticky layer when loading a bowl. First notes are sour and funky, with a fermented, tropical fruit-diesel and spicy citrus-vanilla tang that promises a heady, mind-rocking buzz to come. Ripping into the flower delivers a superbly smooth smoke that’s full of a breathy-hazey-cherried sweetness that opens airways and allows for big, satisfying hits – with effects building from the chest and spreading to cover the whole body.
Ripping into a third bowl kicks the effects into overdrive, delivering on the promised Venom portion of the name. This strain sneaks up like a thirst – suddenly snapping the senses shut in a trap full of THC and terpenes. The high is heady and floaty in a whistle while you work way, allowing superfluous thoughts to quiet as the mind and body focus on the task at hand … which is feeling pretty damn good. Almost too powerful for work, but perfect for those needing to ignore pain or stress, the Venom Breath is a snappy way to blaze through the workday with no bad breath, or vibes.
