Warming Salve & Chill Rub

from Skagit Organics

Wild Mint has hot and cold topicals that are good for both healing and pushing through a workout.

Shake loose from winter doldrums and get in the game with heating and cooling topicals from Wild Mint.

Staying active is a key part of being healthy, especially in the PNW where incessant rain and bad traffic make the 5:00 p.m. sunsets even harder to handle. It’s important to remember that the sun will return – and we’ll all want to be feeling good when summer shows up for a few weeks – so suffering at the gym now means good vibes later. For this writer, a mix of hiking and snowshoeing has been thrown into the mix – twisting a knee and adding fresh insults to old injuries with a sharp pain.

Luckily for us, Wild Mint has hot and cold topicals that are good for both healing and pushing through a workout. The day my knee started hurting we immediately went for the Chill Rub, savoring the cooling sensation while rubbing the topical into the back of my knee joint. With a chill VapoRub-style smell, the cooling gave quick relief to the knee area. Over the next hour, we felt the muscles relax as the cannabinoids from the full-spectrum oil penetrated, reducing inflammation and calming nerves.

After a couple days and a lot of chill, it was time to get back into the gym – and the warming salve was just what the stoner ordered. The green-tinted salve has a solid look but melts onto skin at room temperature, filling the nose with a warming wave of cinnamon and lavender with a citrus and cayenne tang that smells comforting and relaxing. Rubbed onto muscles liberally, within minutes we felt a warming sensation and within an hour the knee was loose and relaxed.

With cannabinoid therapy going directly through the skin, healing and recovery can happen at the same time as pain relief and muscle relaxation. Our skin is our biggest organ and a great transmitter for cannabinoids, and with full-spectrum Cannabis in the mix, these topicals will get you ready for whatever aches and pains life throws your way.
