Budtender of the Month: Mandy Walter

"Cannabis really helped me manage my anxiety, and when the chance to work in the industry came up, I took it.”

Meet Mandy: the budtender, musician and Cannabis enthusiast!

For the past five years, Mandy has been a steady, smiling presence behind the counter, always offering guidance, great energy and genuine care to everyone who walks through the doors at PRC. Born and raised in Boise, Idaho, she made the move to Washington in 2015, where she found both healing and purpose in the Cannabis industry.

“I got into Cannabis thanks to the family friend Tim,” Mandy said. “Quality Cannabis really helped me manage my anxiety, and when the chance to work in the industry came up, I took it. I’ve loved this job ever since.”

Mandy’s preferred intake methods? Smoking flowers and enjoying high-quality edibles. Ask Mandy for a recommendation, and she’ll light you up talking about Svin Gardens’ One Piece, a super stoney, sticky and heavy strain, as well as Skagit Organics’ RSO, which she calls “a truly amazing oil” that works topically or as an edible.

When she’s not working, music is her jam — literally. Mandy plays violin and cello with local powerhouse Savanna Woods, calling it “a huge honor” to perform with such a talented artist. She also treasures quiet time at home with her family.

So why PRC? “I love getting to see so many wonderful humans,” Mandy said. “Our customers are the best, and my coworkers are like a second family.
