While the moon was passing before the sun on April 8, the second annual Blunts and Birdies event was eclipsing last year’s success at the Huntington Club in Huntington Beach. The planets definitely aligned with beautiful weather and glowing attitudes while the Southern California Cannabis industry came together to display a very average performance in terms of actual golfing – but an exceptional performance at networking and letting down the hair for some much-deserved fun.
The big winners were Last Prisoner Project – who benefitted around $2K in donations from the exciting raffle – while OC NORML kindly managed the registration table as the excited attendees packed the course. Huge thanks to Weedmaps for sponsoring the event and all the colorful pop-ups provided by supporting companies.
The tournament ended with a hearty buffet where all the awards were presented, and everyone got to go home happy with a belly full of food and laughs. Except for Dank Vapes who missed dinner because they accidentally played an extra hole. Ah, stoners. See you next year guys!
