Budtender Extraordinaire Kassidy Gallo

Helping customers find the right pot products at PRC Arlington makes this young budtender the happiest she's ever been.

Really into fashion and makeup, look for her at concerts standing out in the crowd. In her personal life, she’s playing a huge part in raising her niece and nephew – who are eleven and eight-years-old – taking them on hiking and park adventures around the area.

How do you like standing behind the counter at the great PRC?
I absolutely love it! The team is amazing. All the customers that come through are always sweet and amazing … it puts a smile on my face. It’s a really positive environment.

Let’s pretend the Cannabis industry didn’t exist. What profession do you think you’d explore?
I would go into the hair industry, or do nails.

Oh, so you’re a natural born therapist?
Yes! (laughs) I always love making people look good and improving their day. I’m a big people person.

We all follow goofy animal videos on social media. Which ones do you follow?
My guilty pleasure is watching talking parrots. My grandparents used to have parrots and I’ve always thought they were really cool. They had parakeets, and they had a parrot who talked a lot.

If that parrot asked you to fire up a joint, would you buckle to its demands?
Hell yeah! Actually, I’m just kidding. I don’t condone blowing smoke into animal’s faces, but it would be funny to see a parrot smoking a joint and getting high.

Do you see yourself staying in the Cannabis industry for a long time?
This is the happiest I’ve ever been. I don’t ever want to leave, but stay here and move up with PRC. And I do want to move up in the industry from budtending when the opportunity presents itself. In the meantime, I just love it here.

If you could smoke a joint anywhere in the world, where would it be?
Florence, Italy. In front of Michelangelo’s statue of David.

About Mike Ricker

The first time Ricker smoked weed was at a Santana concert at the age of 12. He then followed in his footsteps as an award-winning radio personality who became notorious for offering a stage for bong toking listeners in 9 different markets over 20 years. In 2016, the Cannabis industry came calling and the rest is history.
