Epic Options

Any store that has both a hash fridge and a chilled fridge for 100mg mini shots is ready for the headies, and the Kushery does not disappoint with a huge selection and options at every price point and quality level. They even have a fridge dedicated to the Cormorant infused sorbet lineup – featuring new flavors like tangerine and strawberry lemonade, which sets the Kushery apart as having truly unique options for catching a buzz. There’s also a killer points system (one point for every dollar that never expires) and daily deals, including partnerships like 20% off Bodhi High on Tuesdays and Dank Czar on Thursdays. But Sunday is the true fun day, where you can pick any daily deal – and with an almost overwhelming amount of Cannabis to choose from, customers can definitely stock up for the week ahead!

Medical Roots, New Age Vision

The Kushery began in the medical Cannabis days, providing patients medicine before Cannabis was even legal for recreational use. This care for the plant and those who use it for health and wellness continues today, where the shops still have a medicinal focus and discounts for patients. The Kushery carries options including CBG, CBC and CBD-rich products in tincture and gummy form, and even sources options like the Extra Strength Tiger Balm. With a focus on medicinal benefits, recreational customers get the best selection as well – because what makes us feel good also gets us high! This quality-first focus at the Kushery ensures that whatever your reason is for buying Cannabis, their highly curated selection will have you covered.

Happy Staff

Speaking with the manager, Mandy Martin, it was immediately clear that she cared about her team, the customers – and most of all, Cannabis. With such a huge selection, it’s hard to know every product, but the team isn’t just knowledgeable – they’re excited to help and answer questions. We chatted with senior budtender Candice Tokarczyk about her passion as a grower and collector of genetics, and she guided us to tasty flower crosses and unique cuts. Out of all six locations, this Snohomish/Monroe shop is the busiest of all, and it’s now been open for a whole year! Proof that you don’t need to go into the city to get great deals or fire weed, the Kushery’s team is ready to help customers find the perfect buzz for their lifestyle and budget.

Flower
Western Cultured’s Spiked Punch is a house favorite, along with their Larry OG and Grand Daddy Purple. It’s such a heavy indica – tasty and phenomenal for pain. We also love the Parasol Backcourt – a Gary Payton and MAC cross with great flavor and a chill, relaxing indica buzz.

Joints
We have a ton of joints in every combination imaginable. For flavored, we love the Hellavated Maui Sunrise and Blueberry Dream. We also carry Legit Gold, Sky High Gardens, SPR and a huge variety from Phat Panda.

Mfused for carts and disposable – we love the Orange Creamsicle and Yoga Pants.

Dabs
For budget buys, we fly through Regulator concentrates! For high end, Constellation makes the best hash rosin and we love the Heavenly Buds solventless rosin, we keep both in the hash fridge. We also like the Orange State live resin – they have great dabs and flower!

About Wes Abney

Wes Abney is the founder and CEO of the Leaf Nation brand family, which began in 2010 as Northwest Leaf magazine. Recognized as the first Cannabis publication in the region, Northwest Leaf defined and developed the medical and recreational Cannabis communities in Washington with free publications focused on quality content and truthful journalism. The model’s success has led to Oregon Leaf in 2014, Alaska Leaf in 2016, Maryland Leaf in 2019, California Leaf in Spring of 2020, and Northeast Leaf in Fall of 2020. Wes’s writing and publishing background began with his college newspaper, The Ebbtide, which included a love for multimedia and creating content on many platforms. The nickname “Bearded Lorax” came after years of publishing millions of free magazines, using his voice to speak for a plant and those that benefit from it. Wes is an activist not only for Cannabis but for alternative medicine treatments, ending the drug war and freeing prisoners who have been wrongfully incarcerated for non-violent crimes. His passion for reaching people with written and spoken words led to the concept of Leaf Life Podcast in partnership with Mike Ricker, which began development in 2018 and launched in January 2019. With the combined passions of Cannabis and a love for broadcasting, the creation of Leaf Life was a natural progression for Leaf Nation as it spread roots across the United States. With over 100 shows recorded, and printing over 100,000 monthly copies, Leaf Nation has become the world’s largest Cannabis media company, while still celebrating the humble roots and truthful journalism that the model was founded upon. Beyond leading a team of 40+ passionate Cannabis creatives, Wes is the father to two beautiful daughters and two furry cats. He lives in Seattle, drinks coffee, and enjoys Cannabis daily, and hopes to eventually transition from a successful Cannabis journalist to a classic coffee shop author as the Leaf continues to grow in the coming decades. In true Lorax fashion, he enjoys hikes in the forest, communing with nature, and reminding people that “Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It's not.”
