V For Vision

Being known as one of the most reputable flower companies in the state provides advantages when venturing toward new opportunities. And the word Venture, beginning with a big ol’ V, is apropos for a company that hangs its hat on that ubiquitous letter, the centerpiece to the MaVen brand. With their reputation well established, the intention for this exceptional company in the competitive San Fernando Valley was simply to expand on the consistent class that the California Cannabis community has come to expect from this cast of leaders.

A Living Brochure

Waiting for the city of Tarzana to approve the zoning for nearly two years took great patience for these stonerpreneurs, but persistence is what makes winners in this nail-biter industry. Finally, when the light turned green, they quickly incorporated the look and feel that’s reflective of the Maven story – curating a pleasant space where they could incorporate products from key companies who share the same values. And now fans of all things Maven have a place to immerse themselves into the distinct culture of what this brand represents. It is here that they implement the personal feedback from their loyal clientele – an essential component to improving their processes while maintaining their stature.

Vitally Involved

Ventura Boulevard wasn’t exactly a hotbed for Cannabis retail, so there were some stigmas to overcome with the local business community. Initially, they knocked on doors to offer handshakes and high fives to ensure they weren’t misinterpreted as being the black sheep of the district. And just like the Maven logo, the response from their neighbors has been golden. Victory!

About Mike Ricker

The first time Ricker smoked weed was at a Santana concert at the age of 12. He then followed in his footsteps as an award-winning radio personality who became notorious for offering a stage for bong toking listeners in 9 different markets over 20 years. In 2016, the Cannabis industry came calling and the rest is history.
